Political Collision dangerous for Nuclear Pakistan

Imran-Khan-Azadi-MarchBy Zaheerul Hassan

Imran Khan “Azadi Long March and Dr. Tahir-ul-Qadri “Inqlab Long March” reached in Capital of Pakistan on 15 August 2014. Both the leaders are demanding the resignation of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, reelection after carrying out   electoral reforms through technology oriented voting system and restructuring the whole political system with the view to enforce   true and real democracy.  In his last speech Imran Khan, Chief of Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf (PTI) has given ultimatum of 48  hours to the government to pack up otherwise mob can breach to  the red zone aiming to capture Prime Minister House and Parliament.

Later on, he also asked his supporters to go for a civil disobedience movement for two days and not pay their bills and taxes until Sharif resigns. He also threatened  that unless their demands are not met within 48 hours, he may lose the control on his ‘tsunami’.

The political circle has surprisingly received this fresh move of PTI Chief since call is amount to revolt against the state. While making this call of disobedience, probably Khan has forgotten that Government of Pakistan had set a revenue target of Rs.2 810bn includes income tax, sales tax, custom duty and other direct and indirect taxes for the fiscal year 2014-15. The government had collected Rs.1950 billion in fiscal year 2012-13. Thus, ultimately government will not likely to meet the expenditures on the pay of civil and military servants.

It is also added here that State bank of Pakistan (SBP) reports reveals rising in domestic debt by 44.2 % in FY14 thus indicating the poor health of economy.   In the first three quarters (July-March) of FY14 the fiscal deficit was entirely met by borrowing from domestic resources. According to the SBP latest quarterly edition of compendium (July 2014) the interest payment on domestic debt would grew by 14.5 % during the first 11 months (July-May) of FY14. Which will increase the domestic debt further to Rs3.258 billion in FY14 has put excess burden on the economy in the shape of interest payment. Therefore, giving such type of call of disobedience can push the country into economic turmoil too.  I would just say that at this stage, Imran Khan’s call for civil disobedience showing his immaturity towards practical politics.
Notably, Red zone is the sensitive most area comprises of Diplomatic Enclave, Constitutional Avenue, Supreme Court of Pakistani, Parliament, Presidency, Election Commission and Foreign Office.
The ruling party, Pakistan Muslim League (Nawaz Sharif) rejected the demands of   Imran Khan and offered him to come on table for negotiations on the ongoing political crises and issue of rigging in the “Election May 2013”. The second largest majority party Pakistan People’s Party, (PPP), National Awami Party (NAP), Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM), Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam and Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan (JI) have also not endorsed the demands of resignation of Prime Minister and dissolving parliaments. They very rightly in considering that Imran Khans’ demands are unconstitutional, undemocratic and amount to inviting third force to intervene.  They categorically stated that demands political crises have to be resolved under the parameters of Constitution of 1973 through political means.
Meanwhile, Siraj ul Haq, head of JI and Syed Khurshid Ahmed Shah, Opposition leader of PPP has started mediation between ruling elite and PTI. They are busy in cooling down the temperature since political collision could be very dangerous in “Nuclear Pakistan”.
According to independent sources, the leadership of Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf (PTI) and Pakistan Awami Tehrik (PAT) failed to bring 20 hundred thousand   people in Islamabad as they claimed before the start of long marches. However, enough gathering is there that can further paralyze the system which ultimately take the country towards polarization, anarchy, derailing of democracy and giving an opportunity  to  anti-state forces to fuel the militancy.

In this regards it’s enough to realize that on 14 August 2014 some terrorists attacked PAF Base Samungli but our brave security forces successfully repulsed the attack by killing all the militants.  In this connection, during their visits, Chief of the Air Staff, Pakistan Air Force (PAF), Air Chief Marshal Tahir Rafique and Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Raheel Sharif were   briefed about the sequence of the operations against the miscreants by Air Commodore Salman Ahsan Bukhari, Base Commander of PAF Base Samungli. At this occasions both the chiefs appreciated the commendable performance of the troops participated in the operation against the militants.  Army Chief also said that terrorists were on the run after Operation Zarb-e-Azb and were making desperate attempts to cause damage to Pakistan. General Sharif: “with the backing of the entire nation we will Inshalla eliminate the scourge of terrorism from our soil forever.”

Anyhow, the political set up particularly PTI should know that toppling over any democratic government through force and uncontrolled mob will also set precedence and provide a chance of repeating the same in future since all major and even minor political parties including radical groups’ elements have the capacity to gather 50 to 60 thousand people and create a political dilemma.
Nevertheless, Pakistan is in the state of war and its security forces are fighting against militancy in “Operation Zerb-e-Azb”. Therefore, the political instability can encourage and provide a chance to radical elements to cause damage to vital organs of Pakistan.

Coming towards the way forward of the solution, all political parties should try to resolve the existing crisis amicably. The mediators should prepare some win-win chance to both the parties.  In this context, some proposals could be; Imran khan and Qadri should forego with the demands of resignation of sitting Prime Minister and dissolving of parliaments, FIR should be register against the responsible individuals in Model Town Lahore firing case, Judicial Commission of Supreme Court should carryout speedy enquiry in rigging cases of election 2013,  Parliamentary Committee should initiate the bill regarding restructuring of country’s Electoral System last but not the least, no undemocratic and above the constitution demands should be accepted either of the party(PML(N),PPP & PTI).

In short, all political parties should develop consensus and show maturity in resolving the issue since political collision between political elite could be dangerous for the democratic system of Nuclear Pakistan.

Asma Jahangir’s Nomination: A Round Peg in a Square Hole

Aasef

The news that has taken the sleep of the patriotic Pakistanis away is about the recent nomination of Asma Jahangir as an expert to investigate so-called human rights (HR) violations / abuse committed by Govt Forces in Sri Lanka during the last phase of war against LTTE. It would have been a routine news if the things would have had been different on the horizon; domestically and internationally. Nevertheless, under current circumstances it is quite likely to cause psychological embarrassment and emotional exasperation for Pakistan as Sri Lanka is an exceptionally friendly country.  Those who know her well know her as an arrogant, self-centered and ruthlessly blunt as a lawyer and HR activist as well. The lady is the former President of Pakistan Bar Council and has been mysteriously, out of blues picked by United Nations (UN) along with two other ‘international experts’.

The worrisome fact is that her appointment is not welcomed by Sri Lanka since very few Sri Lankan politicians like the idea of UN’s interference in Sri Lanka’s internal affairs to topple the sitting UPFA Govt. Sri Lankan political leaders strongly believe that this is the only underhand method that can be adopted for toppling the Govt and a way forward to regime change. Even they know, the international forces behind this idea, well

May be very few people know that about more or less five years back, suddenly from all nooks and corners of the country, the voice against Pakistan army was raised simultaneously, identical to the happenings of 1971 and yet another surprising thing was the timings of Uday Bhaskar’s concern and Asma Jahangir’s address at Agha Khan University during August 2009, which were finely synchronized. Interestingly both the individuals had a thrillingly common theme to highlight. Her addressed at Agha Khan University was being given a wide coverage and extra ordinarily highlighted by the Indian press and electronic media
Those who have a short memory can be given the allowance to forget the cries she made about few years back when she was yelling for action by the army, and against the Taliban, at the Constitution Avenue Islamabad and when the army ensured and restored peace in the restive valley of Swat, she came out with her real motive as she was tasked by her friends across the border and the mentors. However, it would be very difficult for people with sharp memory to forget her suspicious meetings in India with the radical leaders like Bal Thackeray whom she met while wearing a specially tailored Saffron suit, a color perfectly matching Bal’s dress, although Thackeray was not the only one whom she met.
I wonder if Pakistan government is awake and knows about her claims to be a human activist since her struggle is solely confined to the Indian prisoners rightly placed behind the bars for the heinous crimes like bomb exploding and killing but she has never uttered a single word or has raised even a faint voice for the inopportune Pakistani prisoners rotting in the Indian jails.
The double-faced lady, self proclaimed soft gender voice has ensured fetching divorce to thousand of innocent women during more or less last two decades, yet she claims to be a ‘Rights’ Watchdog’. For this notorious mission she is popularly known as the CEO Divorcee Club of Pakistan.

Coming back to the point, Asma, in her a recent interview with BBC, like a mice dancing on a beer drum and challenging the cat, arrogantly avowed while warning the Sri Lankan Govt of dire consequences if they tried to prevent people from testifying. Her rebuking statement against Govt of Sri Lanka through BBC interview indicates the extent of her being self-centeredness and idiosyncratic character. Pakistan holds Sri Lanka in high esteem as a trust worthy friend under all seasons. Her forewarning was not very well taken by Sri Lankan as most of them believe that a Pakistani national in UN investigation team will only come for their rescue.

Although the Sri Lankan Govt has firmly decided not to let any such investigation team enter Sri Lanka at any cost, yet its high time for the Pakistan government wake up and make their best efforts to either get her name withdrawn from the investigation team or clarify (on an international forum) that anything reported / presented or displayed by Asma Jahangir will be an individual act and will not reflect the policy of Pakistan. Sri Lanka is a time-tested friend and does not expect a Pakistani national (I wonder if she is so) to oppose Sri Lankan Govt on an issue that has already been supported by Pakistan during UNHRC resolution. Furthermore, apparently India has recently supported Sri Lankan stance and has opposed any international investigation with in Sri Lanka.

The time is already running out and the matter should be addressed before it gets too late. The reports are that the inquiry is already in process and the investigation team is to present / submit its first report to UN in September 2014. The government and the national media need to forget about everything else and seriously concentrate on raising voice against the attempt by UN to fit a round peg in a square hole.

Targeting Pakistan on Human Rights Violations in Sri Lanka

By Sajjad

The civilized Western World has always shown double standard of human rights in the modern era of open diplomacy, economic development and maintenance of fundamental rights of various peoples. But, it is regrettable that major powers like the US and some European countries have continuously been acting upon duplicity regarding human rights violations. In this regard, their silence over the massacre of the Rohingya Muslim community at the hands of the Rakhine extremist Buddhists in Burma (present Myanmar), perpetual bloodshed of Kashmiris in the Indian occupied Kashmir and unending genocide of several Palestinians in Gaza might be cited as example. In these cases, US-led Western World which was overtly or covertly supporting the state terrorism of Myanmar’s military junta, Indian and Israeli regimes was strongly condemned by the Islamic Word’s intellectuals. In wake of Muslim tragedy, it was also exposed that world’s apex body, the UNO has also been following double standard of human rights, and has become instrument of America and its allies at the cost of the Muslim World.

Especially, the US has been protecting its selfish interests including those of India and Israel by using the UNO against the Islamic countries like Iran, and Pakistan because the latter is also the lonely nuclear country in the Islamic World. Hence, they want to destabilize Pakistan by supporting the militants’ outfits which continues subversive attacks in Balochistan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Karachi and other parts of the country.

Besides, foreign-backed NGOs and human rights groups leave no stone unturned in distorting the image of Pakistan in relation to human rights violations. In this context, while speaking in the tone of external elements—since the supreme court has been taking notice of various cases, without grasping realities, Pakistan’s internal entities have manipulated every issue and case like the Memogate case, missing persons of Balochistan, law and order situation in Karachi, military operation in North Waziristan, incident of Malala Yousafzai etc., to tarnish country’s image.

Let us take the example of the missing persons. Everyone knows that majority of the disappeared persons have been killed in bomb blasts, target killings, ethnic and sectarian violence in various places of Pakistan, arranged by the foreign-assisted militant outfits, particularly TTP. In case of Balochistan, Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA) and other similar insurgent groups which have been fighting for secession of the province gets logistic support from anti-Pakistan secret agencies. These terrorists abducted and killed many innocent people and the security personnel in the province, while claiming responsibility. And since 2001, a majority of Pakistanis also left for Afghanistan for Jehad purposes, while many people joined the Jahadi groups in Pakistan.

As regards Pakistan’s internal entities, some persons are on the parole of foreign secret agencies, while some have pro-American or western tilt, as they want to get international fame by distorting the image of Pakistan.  In other worlds, they malign their own county by fulfilling the nefarious agenda of anti-Pakistan countries intentionally or unintentionally.

In this connection, in one way or the other, Asma Jahangir, the famous human rights activist has always indicated her old stereotype-prejudices against Pakistan and its security forces by following the blame game of US-led India and some western countries in relation to any major issue or case of human rights abuses. For the purpose, she had also manipulated the cases of missing persons, especially those of Balochistan. In fact, Asma can create some hostile justification for the sake of hostility by maligning Pak Army, superior intelligence agency, ISI because in this way, she can not only get good media coverage in abroad , but can also please her external masters.

Recent nomination of Asma Jahangir as an expert to investigate human rights violations/abuses committed by the government forces in Sri Lanka during the last phase of war against Liberation of Tamil Elam (LTTE) may cause psychological embarrassment and emotional exasperation for Pakistan, as Sri Lanka is a friendly country.  Asma is known for her arrogance, self importance and bluntness as a lawyer, human rights activist and high profile international investigator. She is the former President of Pakistan Bar Council and has especially been selected by UN along with two other eminent international experts. Her nomination is quite controversial in Sri Lanka, as very few Sri Lankan politicians who wanted UN to interfere in Sri Lanka’s internal affairs to topple the sitting government of the United People’s Freedom Alliance (UPFA), supported her case. Sri Lankan political leaders believe that this is the only way in toppling the government and a way forward to regime change.

In her recent interview with BBC, published by Sri Lankan print media, while warning the Sri Lankan government of dire consequences, Asma Jahangir arrogantly asserted, if they tried to stop people from contacting the UN investigating team—any attempt to prevent people from testifying would be detrimental for the Sri Lankan Govt.

No doubt, such aggressive statements by a Pakistani national certainly lead to creation of diplomatic irritants between the two governments. Asma’s forewarning was not very well taken by Sri Lankans, as most of them perceive that a Pakistani national in UN investigation team will only come for their rescue.

People of Sri Lanka and the government have made up their mind not to let any such investigation team enter their country at any stage. Sri Lanka, being a friendly state does not—will not expect a Pakistani national to oppose their rulers on an issue which has already been supported by Islamabad during UN Human Rights Commission’s related resolution.  Furthermore, India has recently supported Colombo’s stance and has opposed any international investigation within Sri Lanka.

It is notable that as regards Human Rights Commission of Pakistan led by Asma Jehangir, in 2006, I had myself visited its head office, located in Lahore. I met some writers of a particular newspaper, who had been working there. I came to know that its members were being sent to various villages of Pakistan so as to note various crimes which were also published in magazines and afterwards these were sent to western countries, especially America with the sole aim to show the progress of this Commission which is financially supported by the US. No doubt, we must condemn these crimes in our society, but if we point out these anti-social activities to please our foreign masters, and in order to tarnish the image of our own country including its forces, such a practice itself becomes a greater crime.

I ask the former HRCP’s Chairperson Asma Jehangir as to why multiple crimes, committed inside the United States are not being indicated by this Commission with detail. From time to time, a number of students have been shot in various American universities, but I did not read any statement of Asma Jehangir in that respect. And why there is no detailed statement against American forces, CIA and FBI which have so far tortured and killed a number of innocent Muslims entailing Pakistanis at various detention centers under the pretext of war against terrorism. She never spoke about atrocities, perpetrated by the American troops in Abu Ghraib, other CIA torture-cells, and human rights violations inside the US homeland where since 9/11; thousands of Muslims were targeted, labeling them as suspected persons.

The fact of the matter is that Asma Jehangir is waiting for Nobel Prize which is mostly awarded to the western people and rarely to the Muslims. In this context, Asma is also making strenuous efforts by getting this award by showing to the US-led western countries that she is serving as human rights activists at the cost of Pakistan. One cannot note difference between her hypocrisy and the US-led Hindu-Jewish lobbies which are determined to disintegrate Pakistan. Nonetheless, all this shows the real face of Asma Jehangir.

However, a Pakistani national, being part of the UN investigation team, pitched against a friendly country should be a matter of concern for every patriot Pakistani. Therefore, Pakistani government should either get her name withdrawn from the investigation team or clarify (on an international forum) that anything reported/presented or displayed by Asma Jahangir will be an individual act, and will not reflect the policy of Islamabad. In this regard, media must impress upon the policy makers to address the issue, because it will have serious consequences for Pakistan–Sri Lanka relations at every level. The matter should be addressed as soon as possible since the inquiry is already in process and the investigation team is to present and submit its first report to UN in September 2014.

Particularly, Pakistan’s media must project that Asma Jahangir is blunt, arrogantly confident, self projecting and outspoken individual, having qualification and experience in practicing law. Her rebuking statement against the Sri Lankan government through BBC interview indicates the extent of her being self-centeredness and idiosyncratic character. Islamabad holds Sri Lanka in high esteem as a trust worthy friend under all seasons.

Government and people of Pakistan get deeply hurt every time, they recall the deplorable episode of terrorist attack against Sri Lankan Cricket Team in Lahore. Such a devilish attack was planned by anti-Pakistan elements to damage cricket in Pakistan and to create conditions to spoil diplomatic relations between Islamabad and Colombo. Fortunately, relations between the two friendly countries are still flourishing, while cricket is also being played between their national teams. Terrorists and master minds of attack against Sri Lankan Cricket Team have surely been frustrated and perturbed.

Nevertheless, any attempt by Asma Jehangir to target Pakistan on human rights violations in Sri Lanka through so-called UN investigation must be thwarted by Pakistan’s top officials and media.

Modi’s Impetus to Hindu Chauvinism

Hindu politics and culture, dominated by the fundamentalist parties such as BJP, RSS, VHP, Shiv Sena and other similar groups which have been propagating Hindutva (Hindu nationalism)  felt pleasure, because Indian elections 2014 based on the campaign against Islam, Muslims, and Pakistan enabled BJP hardliner Narendra Modi to get a land sliding triumph.

Prior to the elections of Narendra Modi as Indian Prime Minister, some people were opining that Modi, being an economic reformer, will not fall prey to the Hindu Hawks surrounding him, and will move ahead with his “Economic Agenda” rather than “Hinduvta Agenda.” But, it was widely believed that he would give an impetus to the Hindu chauvinism in India.

Undoubtedly, Muslims were aware of Modi’s agenda to reduce the Muslim community in India to second class citizens. Muslim anxiety in India is multiplying due the fact, because, during the election campaign, Hindu majority was mobilized on ‘hate Muslim’ slogans and ‘anti Pakistan’ jargons. Hence, Modi regime is likely to target and persecute Muslims in India, while the incessant and unjust Indian propaganda against Pakistan is beyond anybody’s cognition.

However, as part of anti-Muslim and anti-Pakistan move of the BJP including other Hindu extremist parties, Indian Prime Minister Modi is giving impetus to Hindu chauvinism which could be judged from various recent incidents and developments, and which point towards emergence of Hinduvta under the umbrella of Shiv Sena backed by BJP government led by hardliner-cum-reformist Modi. Encouraged by the election-victory of the BJP, on May 28, this year, in a provocative act to disturb communal harmony among different religious communities in India, Rashtriya Hindu Andolan, a little known Mangalore-based Hindutva outfit and activists from various right wing groups organized a protest in Mangalore in front of the office of Deputy Commissioner by demanding the authorities to ban the morning Muslim call to prayer (Azan) across the country. Moreover, forcing the Muslim employee in a Parliament Canteen by BJP leader to break his fast by stuffing piece of bread in his mouth, statement of Deputy Chief of Goa, declaring India as a Hindu state, opposition to declaration of Sania Mirza as Ambassador of Indian state by calling her daughter-in-law of Pakistan might be cited as instance.

On July 12, while threatening a nuclear war, BJP leader Dr. Subramaniam Swamy, a staunch promoter of Hindutva stated that India needed only two years to defeat Pakistan militarily, and the only solution of Kashmir was war, as “there is no peaceful, democratic solution.”

Besides, soon after assuming power, Modi government, hurriedly decided to forcibly annex and integrate disputed territory of the State of Jammu and Kashmir (J&K), uncovering its intentions to wrap up the article 370 of the Indian constitution which ensures a special status to J&K. The aim behind is to fortify measures and continue its illegal occupation in the J&K. Therefore, United Nations Military Observer Group India and Pakistan (UNMOGIP) in New Delhi was asked to vacate official accommodation, claiming that its role had become irrelevant, and indicating its intention to violate UN Security Council’s resolutions on Kashmir dispute, and to further commit human rights violations in the India-controlled Kashmir.

Furthermore, New Delhi which has initiated unprovoked firing at the Line of Control (LoC) in Kashmir including Working Boundary in Sialkot and other sectors across Pak-Indian border, wants to continue it.

Nevertheless, New BJP led-Indian government is vigorously pursuing an aggressive agenda of jingoism to strengthen its hold in the        Indian Occupied Kashmir (IOK). Besides keeping pro-movement leadership of Kashmir under detention and house arrest, masses are being subjected to worst kind of psychological trauma with a purpose to weaken the ongoing Kashmir movement. In this context, Indian refusal to repeal draconian laws like Armed Forces Special Powers Act (AFSPA) and the Public Safety Act (PSA), continuation of oppressive regime through barrel of gun, search operations to harass innocent masses especially the youth, undemocratic attitude towards peaceful protestors (wherein recently a 15 years old youth has been shot dead in Kulgam), creating environment for revocation of article 370 of Indian constitution to absorb IOK as state like Bihar and Punjab, conspiracies to divide Kashmir on communal lines by creating separate and protected colonies for Kashmiri Pandits, and setting side Pakistan’s efforts to resolve the core dispute of Kashmir including other issues between both the neighboring countries might be cited as example.

It is notable that abrogation of article-370 was one of the election slogans of Modi’s BJP.  Now, Modi’s government has accorded top priority to this issue and intensified the efforts towards its attainment. Article 370 protects people of J&K in matters of citizenship, ownership of property and fundamental rights, besides acting as jugular vein between State government of J&K and central government of India. New Delhi is also making large scale propaganda to justify revoking of article 370 at all possible domestic and international forums.

As already stated, BJP led India is trying to change demography of IOK by settling Pundits in the valley by offering hefty financial incentives. It is aimed at getting legitimate control over IOK. Such a move has always been rejected by all leading political parties of IOK.

It is the right hour that Pakistan’s high officials and media must expose the real intentions of the Indian Prime Minster Narendra Modi who is implementing Hindu chauvinism as per agenda of BJP, Shiv Sena and other Hindu fundamentalist parties.

In this respect, Pakistan’s internal entities must show Indian evil designs to suppress Kashmir movement, and make all out efforts to bring IOK under Indian fold. In this regard, BJP- led Indian government’s inner psyche to promote Hindutva philosophy also needs to be linked—Indian extremist Hindus’ desire that India becomes a classical Hindu state where all others are to be treated as second rate citizens, as Hindutva thinking does not accept outsiders as Indians. This is particularly in reference to Muslim community and Christians living in India. These internal entities of Pakistan must indicate perennial human rights violations by Indian security forces against people of the Indian-held Kashmir, shameful criminal silence by world opinion builders and key communicators regarding atrocities on Kashmiris, draconian laws, arrests of the Kashmiri leaders on any plea for an indefinite time and illegal detentions—rape of innocent women, extra-judicial killings of Kashmiri people including the youth.

While on such human rights violations, the state and Indian security and law-enforcing agencies appear to be in connivance. Thus such organized crime goes on in IOK on behest of New Delhi. The aim is to maintain calm and suppress the voice of people of Kashmir.

Pakistan’s internal entities, especially media must point out the practice of enforced disappearances, perpetuated under the auspices of two black laws, AFSPA and Jammu Kashmir Disturbed Area Act as an enduring legacy in Indian controlled Kashmir since 1989. They should widely promote the veteran Kashmiri Hurriyat leader, Syed Ali Gilani’s appeal to the UN Secretary General, Ban Ki-moon, about taking steps to initiate investigation into the gross human rights abuses, being committed by Indian troops in the occupied Kashmir.

Meanwhile, BJP government is stressing the need to open cross LoC routes between IOK and Gigit-Baltistan (GB) under the gambit of providing relief to divided families between IOK and GB, besides boosting the depressed economy of GB. There are scores of wicked objectives behind this move including exploitation of sectarianism and projection of human rights violation in GB against Pakistan. Opening of LOC routes will afford India to engage in recruiting agents and contracting favorable audience for promoting Indian chauvinism, based upon its aggressive policies and anti-Pakistani propaganda. Such a jingoism of New Delhi, in the long run, would instigate anti-Pakistan sentiments, and promote separatism on the lines, followed in Baluchistan. It will realize India’s longstanding dream of accessing Central Asian states through GB. This scheme would also help India to contain China’s presence in GB by restraining their economic interests. So, our media must expose Indian designs, behind opening of cross LOC routes.

Particularly, educate domestic masses of GB and opinion builders of Pakistan that India wants to manipulate sensitivity of GB by targeting depressed economy, sectarian divide and divided kinship. New Delhi, wants to open LoC between IOK and GB for fulfilling its own vested interests at the cost of our country.

It is mentionable that on the one hand, Modi is projecting himself as a young, secular and energetic Indian leader, having a vision to bring economic reforms in the country, besides fostering friendly relations with neighboring and regional countries, while on the other hand, his projected image is being eclipsed by various statements and actions of his party leaders, challenging the secular status of India.

We can conclude that BJP’s hardliner and the Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi is giving a greater impetus to Hindu chauvinism which could destabilize the whole region in the modern era of renunciation of war, peaceful settlement of disputes and promotion of human rights.
